Scaling Innova Schools to Mexico
My role: Principal Designer
My contributions & impact:
Led research and design of adapted Innova Mexico campus and classroom spaces.
Research methods included using card sorts and prototypes in moderated interviews, focus groups, and self-guided surveys with prospective parents and families.
The Challenge
How might we adapt existing elements of and design new concepts for the Innova Schools model, to meet the needs of students and parents in Mexico?
The Outcome
Innova Schools value proposition and differentiators for families and parents in Mexico. The team also articulated foundational insights and opportunity areas that informed key learning experiences and design elements including the academic model, signature learning spaces, campus design, business optimization, teacher support, new roles, and busineess systems.
The Impact
Innova is now the largest private school network in Peru. It opened its first school in Mexico in 2019, which welcomed over 1,000 students.
